DevOps Engineer

We are now seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join the Information Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment of product updates, identifying and resolving production issues, and implementing integrations to meet customer needs. With a strong foundation in software engineering and extensive experience in the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, .NET, SQL), you will collaborate closely with our development and engineering teams to ensure our software development lifecycle is efficient, automated, and follows best practices.

Job Description

• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, testing, and deployment of our .NET-based applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage and provision our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using IaC principles and tools (e.g., Azure Resource Manager templates, Bicep, or Terraform).
• Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline operational tasks and improve the efficiency of the development and release processes.
• Deployment and Release Management: Oversee the deployment of product updates, new features, and fixes into our production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and robust rollback strategies.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights) to ensure the health, performance, and reliability of our systems. Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
• Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between development, quality assurance, and IT operations teams to ensure seamless and effective software delivery.
• Security: Integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into the CI/CD pipeline, including vulnerability scanning, secret management, and identity and access management within Azure.
• Database Management: Assist in the deployment and management of SQL database schemas and data, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for our infrastructure, deployment processes, and system configurations.

Your Profile

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
• Strong experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET Framework/.NET Core, and Visual Studio.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machines).
• Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Effective time management, communications, decision making, presentation, performance management and organization skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Excellent command of Greek and English.
• Excellent verbal, writing, editing, communications, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
