Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Trading for our FX and Options desk. The successful candidate will lead our trading team, manage risk, and drive the execution of trading strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of FX and options markets, a proven track record in trading, and exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the FX and Options prop trading desk, ensuring efficient execution of trading strategies and adherence to risk management protocols.
  • Develop and implement advanced algorithmic trading strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to make informed trading decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, counterparties, and regulators.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior traders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Develop and maintain robust risk management frameworks to mitigate potential losses and ensure the stability of trading operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on trading performance, market outlook, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
  • Stay at the office for trading shifts during the US session twice a week to ensure optimal trading coverage and team support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading Forex and derivatives
  • Proven track record of successful trading and portfolio management
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent knowledge of financial markets and instruments
  • Proficiency in trading platforms and related software
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage a team and collaborate with other departments
  • Proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of IT, including basic server administration.
  • Basic Python skills would be a significant advantage.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus
