We are seeking a Junior Technical Superintendent to work with GRS in Limassol offices. The candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with management systems and monitoring vessels' technical operation and performance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with management systems and monitor vessels' technical operation and performance.
  • Monitor and manage vessels' daily technical operation and performance to ensure safety, quality, energy efficiency, and environmental objectives are met.
  • Implement and follow up on planned maintenance systems.
  • Appoint and manage subcontractors for vessel maintenance and services.
  • Monitor and report marine safety and quality issues.
  • Attend to vessel dry docking, repairs, and surveys as required.
  • Provide technical and management input in developing new projects and improvements.
  • Plan, control, and execute activities connected to class and flag state survey and certificate requirements.
  • Make regular vessel visits to ensure vessels meet company criteria for safe and effective operations.
  • Liaise with third parties on technical and operational matters.
  • Conduct and monitor technical inspections and ensure preventative and corrective actions are taken.
  • Assist in emergency response.
  • Maintain records and databases.
  • Lead by example and monitor areas of responsibility.
Candidate Profile:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualified as a Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Naval Architect.
  • 2-3 years' minimum experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to travel at short notice.
  • Proficient in English.
  • PC literate and experienced with MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Clean Criminal Record.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proactive with independent working skills.
  • Fully conversant with maritime rules, regulations, and standards.
