Technical Support Specialist for Hospitality Industry

As a skilled IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's technology systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across multiple business units and contribute to the growth and development of our organization.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a solid understanding of hotel and restaurant operational systems. Experience with software such as Opera PMS, MICROS, Toast, Oracle Hospitality, or similar would be considered an advantage.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual who can provide day-to-day technical support and ensure alignment between technology solutions and business goals in hospitality management. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

• Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and POS systems across hotel and restaurant properties
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows/Mac OS systems, printers, networks, and hospitality-specific applications
• Support and maintain Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, and reservation platforms
• Monitor system performance and perform proactive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with hotel and restaurant managers to understand operational workflows and align IT tools for maximum efficiency
• Assist with onboarding new staff on IT systems and provide training on business applications
• Maintain inventory and documentation of IT assets, licenses, and configurations
• Ensure data security and support compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for escalated support or project implementation
• Participate in IT projects including upgrades, migrations, or rollouts for new properties
• Assist in developing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans

• Bachelor's degree and/or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in IT support, preferably within the hospitality industry
• Solid understanding of hotel and restaurant operational systems (PMS, POS, back-office software)
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VoIP, and CCTV systems
• Familiarity with administrative aspects of hospitality business (e.g., reporting, inventory, reservations, billing systems)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus
