Network Support Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a reputable hosting provider, offering IT support to a large portfolio of clients around the world. As part of their successful growth, they are seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer to join their team in Larnaca.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups to prevent downtime.
  • Implement robust security measures, such as firewalls and VPNs, to protect the network from threats.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, latency, and outages, in a timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer support, responding to and resolving tickets related to network problems.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of the network infrastructure.
  • Configure and deploy network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to meet business needs.
  • Manage IP address allocation, DNS settings, and other network configurations to optimize network performance.
  • Implement changes to the network infrastructure in accordance with change management policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
  • Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and trends to inform business decisions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in network administration and engineering.
  • Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills.
  • A deep understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Experience managing and maintaining complex network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, VLANs, TCP/IP, port channels, vPC, fibre connections, WAN/LAN.
  • Certifications, such as Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+, are highly valued.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
