Database Administrator Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Nicosia. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our databases.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support in all aspects of database administration, including software analysis, scripting, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Function as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support in all aspects of database administration.
  • Analyse business and technical requirements to determine the most appropriate database solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and ensure seamless integration and optimal performance using various database technologies.

You will work closely with our development team to design, implement, and maintain efficient database systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing comprehensive test cases to validate database system design and functionality.
  • Collaborating with software vendors and open-source communities to evaluate and implement new features and system changes.
  • Delivering technical and operational training to users to enable them to effectively utilize and maximize the benefits of database systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Solid database administration skills, including experience with Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to efficiently identify and resolve complex database issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Greek and English.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar position and industry.
