We are seeking a Finance Leader to head the financial operations of our Cyprus entity.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys working independently while playing a key part in a global finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Own month-end processes, including preparation of accounting records and posting of journals
  • Prepare and review monthly management reports
  • Reconcile balance sheets
  • Manage annual external audits
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and financial regulatory requirements
  • Implement effective financial controls and procedures
  • Assist with accounting records of a second Cyprus-based entity
  • Submit VAT and VIES returns
  • Process monthly payroll
  • Prepare regulatory reporting for the Central Bank and serve as the main point of contact
  • Handle ad hoc regulatory reporting requirements
  • Support improvements in management reporting

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or related field; professional qualification (CAT, ACA, or ACCA)
  • 5-10 years of experience including industry
  • Fluency in English and Greek
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and drive
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in an EMI or financial institution is considered an advantage
