HR Officer

Cyprus Airways is looking for dynamic and motivated candidate to join our Human Resources Department in Larnaca Head Quarters.

Position Summary

The HR Officer will support the Human Resources Department in delivering accurate, efficient, and compliant HR services. Will actively contribute to recruitment, onboarding / offboarding, employee records management, and compliance with Cyprus Employment Law and company policies. The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality in all matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support the full recruitment process: job posting, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks and prepare employment contracts.
  • Ensure smooth induction and integration of new employees.

HR Administration & Systems

  • Maintain accurate employee records on EXELSYS HR system, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Prepare employment documentation such as contracts, amendments, and confirmations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all HR transactions and maintain well-organized personnel files.

Employment Law & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Cyprus Employment Law and company HR policies.
  • Manage submissions to the ERGANI system
  • Support the HR Manager in reviewing and updating policies to maintain legal compliance and HR best practices.

Employee Relations & Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the resolution of employee grievances and disciplinary matters in line with procedures.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate and monitor the Performance Appraisal process, ensuring timely completion across departments.
  • Provide analytical insights on performance results to support talent development and succession planning.
  • Work with managers to ensure appraisal outcomes are documented, fair, and aligned with company objectives.

Training & Development

  • Support probationary and performance evaluation processes.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating learning & development activities.
  • Track and report employee performance and training outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in recruitment and HR administration.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with:
  • EXELSYS HR System
  • ERGANI system
  • Employment Law in Cyprus
  • Performance Appraisal processes
  • Excellent command of Greek and English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
