The Role

We are seeking an experienced full-time Systems/DevOps Engineer to join our R&D Department. This is a unique opportunity to play an active role in both EU research projects and commercial innovation initiatives, while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment.

The successful candidate's responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain automated infrastructure and cloud environments supporting both research and commercial systems.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and deploy containerized applications using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure and ensure the availability, scalability, and security of deployed services.
• Monitor system performance, implement security best practices, and optimize infrastructure for high availability.
• Collaborate closely with the Software Development and Telecommunications teams to ensure seamless integration, testing, and deployment of applications in agile and research-driven environments.
• Contribute to technical documentation and project deliverables, while staying updated on the latest DevOps practices and tools.
• Work under the guidance of the Head of the 5G/6G Communications Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of industry experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or cloud infrastructure management.
• European citizenship (mandatory).
• Strong Linux systems administration skills and proficiency in shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform
• Strong understanding of network protocols, system security, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Must be EU citizen in any EU27 member states
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and solve complex problems.
• Physical presence required at our offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

• Attractive annual gross salary: €30,000 – €42,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
