Senior Software Developer

On behalf of a client, a well-established international company offering technology solutions, we are currently seeking a Senior Developer to join their team in Nicosia.

Objective

The Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering robust software solutions to support the company's global clients, primarily in the area of revenue management systems. This role also involves mentoring less experienced developers and contributing to the continuous improvement of development practices.

Position's Duties and Responsibilities
  • Solution Development:
    • Design and implement software features and functionality as part of the core tax administration platform.
    • Deliver robust, scalable, and secure code according to project requirements and standards.
    • Ensure solutions are developed with a customer-centric approach and meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Mentoring and Leadership:
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
    • Support Development Leads in fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Actively contribute to improving the development process, coding standards, tools, and team knowledge.
    • Participate in peer reviews, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Maintain clear communication regarding progress, risks, and issues.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Keep up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
    • Bring innovative ideas to enhance product development and delivery.
Position's Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any other related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading small teams.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in tax or financial systems is a plus.
  • Strong experience in enterprise software development, ideally in C# and .NET technologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality software in complex business environments.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
  • Understanding of software development best practices and patterns.
  • Experience in Agile development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary range: €45,000 – €60,000 gross
