Job description

Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher based in Limassol, Cyprus. The company focuses on the 4X strategy genre, with an ambitious goal to grow its hit game, Total Battle, to become the No.1 strategy game in the world. Our mission: to unite and excite people all over the world.

Our product: We are currently working on Total Battle - an MMO 4X strategy game with a deep political system and lots of player interaction. Players take on the role of a commander and need to develop their city, forge alliances, fight against monsters, and conquer other players.

Responsibilities

  • Create illustrations for social media, YouTube videos, and short-form content (Shorts, Reels).

  • Collaborate with Narrative Designers to translate text scripts into visual scenes.

  • Draw game characters in various poses and situations while maintaining strict consistency in style, anatomy, and proportions.

  • Visualize atmospheric story moments: character interactions, episodes from the world of Total Battle, and holiday-themed illustrations.

  • Work with references, compile mood boards, and propose creative ideas for composition and camera angles.

  • Prepare assets in formats suitable for social media and video production pipelines.

  • Contribute to the development of the visual style for community content.

  • Utilize AI/neural networks as a supplementary tool to accelerate workflows.

Job requirements

  • Strong digital painting skills (stylized or realistic).

  • Solid understanding of composition, lighting, color theory, and spatial depth.

  • Experience in creating narrative illustrations or character art.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is essential.

  • Ability to maintain character likeness and recognizability across different scenes.

  • Attention to detail, a passion for gaming, and a desire for professional growth.

  • Willingness to complete a test task.

  • A relevant portfolio is required.

Nice to have:

  • Basic knowledge of Spine, After Effects, or other animation tools.

  • Ability to prepare assets for animation (layering/cutting).

  • 3D skills for scene staging or basic blockouts.

  • Experience with ComfyUI (SD, SDXL, FLUX).
