Licensed Aircraft Engineer B2 is responsible for engineering matters relevant to execution of contract and regulatory requirements, engineering policies and procedures. A Licensed Engineer B2 is trained in avionics. The position reports to the Base/Line Maintenance Manager.
Job Accountabilities
- Responsibility to carry out avionics maintenance before flight to ensure that the aircraft is fit for the intended flight
- Responsibility for all maintenance aircraft facilities and ensure that all company's maintenance policies and schedules are complied with
- Ensures the efficient use of materials and other resources associated with aircraft maintenance
- Follows Health and Safety Policy to provide a safe working environment without risks
- Responsibility to train unlicensed personnel with the guidance of the Maintenance Manager
- Cooperation with Record Planner to ensure control of maintenance data and documents, namely the aircraft / engine log books, component log
- Informs Head of Line Maintenance and Base Maintenance on weekly performance and progress monitoring on aircrafts assigned and report any maintenance requirements
B2 Licensed Engineers are holders of the Part-66 License which certifies aircraft engineers per EASA requirements. A Licensed Engineer B2 may hold the following ratings:
- Store Incoming parts (Inspector)
- CDCCL tasks
- EWIS tasks
- APU run/shutdown
- Defect rectification after flight
- Defect rectification resulting from inspections
- Compass compensation / adjustment
- CAT II/III
- RVSM
- Replacement of components
- Replacement of portable emergency equipment
- Replacement of internal/external lights
- Replacement of Aircraft / APU Batteries
- Replacement of passenger, cabin crew seats, seat belts & harmsses, overhead storage, compartment doors and similar cabin/gallery furnishing items including placards, ovens, boilers and coffee machines
- Access to stores
Experience Requirements
- Related Approved Certificate of Recognition in Mechanical and 2 years of industry experience to issue the license
- Or Pass of Module examination, Gain of Examination Certificate and 5 years of industry experience to issue the license
- At least 1 year of the experience either of the Certificate in Avionics or the Module Examination must be recent experience gained on aircraft type on which application is made
- Experience in the implementation of aircraft maintenance practices and procedures
- Communication and management skills
- Computer literate
