Position Overview
DOUMMAR MEP Contractors seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction activities for a prestigious project in Cyprus. This is a critical leadership role overseeing all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) aspects.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time 2-year contract assignment in Cyprus
  • Multi-site position covering Larnaca and Paphos locations
  • Only holders of Schenghen visa or EU citizens are eligible
  • Furnished accommodation with utilities included
  • Company vehicle transportation provided
  • European safety protocol compliance required
  • Flexible hours for project milestones
  • EU and local Cypriot standards compliance

Key Responsibilities
Technical Project Management

  • Direct all MEP construction activities of the project
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Monitor project progress and budget allocations across multiple sites

Team Leadership and Coordination

  • Supervise construction teams and European subcontractors
  • Conduct stakeholder progress meetings
  • Coordinate with Cyprus Official Department for permits
  • Facilitate international-local team communication in English ( Greek a Plus)

Quality Assurance and Control

  • Implement quality control procedures
  • Conduct site inspections and technical reviews for compliance
  • Manage testing and commissioning procedures for critical systems
  • Document progress with detailed reports for EU regulatory requirements

Budget and Resource Management

  • Monitor project expenses against budget
  • Optimize resource allocation strategies across dual sites
  • Negotiate with European suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare financial reports for management

Qualifications And Requirements
Educational Background and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required
  • Minimum 10 years construction project management experience
  • Airport or aviation infrastructure construction experience preferred
  • Proven track record of successful large-scale project delivery

Technical Competencies

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred
  • MS Project and Primavera P6 proficiency
  • MEP systems knowledge for aviation facilities
  • European building codes and EASA standards familiarity

Language and Communication

  • Excellent English communication skills required
  • Greek language skills a plus not a must
  • Strong presentation capabilities for stakeholder meetings
  • Cultural adaptability for European assignment

Leadership Capabilities

  • Proven multicultural team leadership ability
  • European subcontractor and supplier management experience
  • Strong problem-solving under pressure
  • EU safety standards and compliance track record

International Assignment Readiness

  • EU passport holder or eligible for Cyprus work permit process
  • Commitment to 2-year assignment duration
  • Adaptable to Mediterranean working conditions
  • Valid EU driving license preferred
