about us

Akelius Languages is a non-profit organization with offices in Berlin, Nicosia and Limassol.

We are developing language learning products,

which are currently available in eleven languages.

You can find it here

UNICEF, UNHCR, SOS Children's Villages and other non-governmental organizations worldwide use our language courses to provide children and adults with language education.

role

We are looking for a Graphic Designer for our publishing team,

to work on the layout and design of our books.

You can be based in our Nicosia office,

or work from our office in Limassol.

key responsibilities

  • create the layout of our books in compliance with our standards
  • support the design and editorial team in press preparation
  • suggest design and layout solutions

Depending on workload and project priorities,

additional tasks could also be part of this role.

who you are

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive specialist with professional experience in layout design, for printed products.

education

  • university degree or relevant education in graphic design or related, focusing on layout design, color theory, and print production
  • excellent proficiency in written and spoken English

experience

  • at least two years of experience in layout design
  • excellent knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • excellent knowledge of MS Office suite

skills

  • the ability to work independently and in a team
  • good communication and presentation skills
  • problem-solving skills cultural competency and a proactive attitude
  • flexibility and ability to work with tight deadlines
