Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role in Cyprus, with a solid understanding of local regulations, IPbox knowledge is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel.
  • ERP Knowledge: Experience with ERP systems, particularly Odoo, is highly advantageous.

Will be plus:

  • Certifications: ICPAC membership or progress toward certification will be considered an advantage.
  • ERP Setup Experience: Proven experience in configuring and optimizing accounting workflows within ERP systems is a plus.
  • Expertise in IPbox tax regime on Cyprus

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Records Maintenance: Accurately record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in compliance with company policies and Cypriot regulations.
  • Reconciliations: Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
  • Tax and VAT Compliance: Prepare and submit tax and VAT reports in accordance with Cypriot regulations, demonstrating strong knowledge of VAT rules for intra-EU transactions and VAT treatment for third countries.
  • Intangible Assets Management: Track acquisitions, capitalization, and amortization of intangible assets, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure strict adherence to local financial laws and prepare all necessary regulatory reports.
  • Audit Support: Assist in annual audits by compiling and providing required documentation, facilitating a smooth audit process.
  • Month-End Closure: Prepare trial balances, generate financial reports, and ensure timely monthly closing of company accounts.
  • Document flow maintenance: duly collecting of documents in internal storage and providing to external accountants/auditors.
