About the Role:

As an Engineering Manager (.NET), you will lead the design and delivery of cloud-native, event-driven backend platforms supporting mission-critical trading operations. You'll set technical direction, mentor teams, and ensure delivery excellence against key metrics including KPIs, SLAs, and OKRs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and enforce .NET architectural standards (Clean Architecture, DDD, CQRS), ensuring performance, resilience, and scalability.
  • Govern multi-account AWS setups using Control Tower; design event routing (EventBridge), streaming (Kafka/Kinesis), analytics (Athena/Glue/Redshift), and secure foundations (Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, Shield, Secrets Manager).
  • Build high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems leveraging async programming, circuit breakers, retries, and compensating transactions.
  • Standardize Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, ensure zero-downtime CI/CD, define SLOs and error budgets, and implement observability with CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
  • Oversee data and ETL pipelines, including CDC (Debezium/DMS/Kafka Connect), ETL/ELT workflows (Glue, Step Functions), and ensure data quality, lineage, and regulatory compliance (GDPR/ASIC/EU).
  • Track and report engineering KPIs such as availability, latency, throughput, MTTR, and cost per transaction.
  • Coach and develop engineers, lead architecture reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Your Profile:

  • 7+ years of backend engineering experience in C#/.NET for distributed, high-volume systems.
  • Proven track record in technical leadership and engineering management.
  • Experience in trading, fintech, or banking environments (latency, integrity, compliance).
  • Expertise in event-driven architectures (Kafka/EventBridge, Sagas, CQRS).
  • Strong AWS experience (Control Tower, Kinesis, EventBridge, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, Athena/Glue/Redshift).
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, and observability pipelines.
  • Knowledge of ETL/CDC patterns, data contracts, and compliance frameworks.
