is seeking a dedicated and caring
Teaching Assistant
to support our class teacher and students in a bilingual learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a proactive attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Russian and English. You will help facilitate engaging lessons, provide one-on-one or group support, assist with class routines and administrative tasks, and occasionally lead lessons or substitute the class teacher if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities
  • Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning, encourage participation, and promote progress
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
  • Lead class and substitute class teacher when necessary
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
  • Provide general administrative and organisational support within the classroom
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff in both Russian and English
  • Promote the school's ethos and values at all times

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) is an advantage
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE (UK or equivalent) is an advantage
  • Fluent English and Russian
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum is an advantage
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
