The Island Private School of Limassol
in Cyprus opened its doors to the first 500 students in September 2022 and is seeking a
Co-teacher for the Primary
Years Programme. Immediate employment is available.

The main responsibilities of a co-teacher in a primary school include collaboration with the lead teacher to plan and conduct lessons, support individual students' learning needs, and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

General responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive environment;
  • Plan and deliver Greek Language Lessons (5 per week);
  • Prepare lessons with other teachers and contribute to the planning cycle;
  • Participate in collaborative planning and add to programme planners;
  • Collaborate with the homeroom teacher during English, Mathematics and Unit of Inquiry lessons, effectively helping organise and enhance the learning process, and providing aid in the attainment of lesson learning goals.
  • Assist subject teachers during subject lessons (PE, Art, Drama, Music).
  • Perform playground and other Primary school duties as requested.
  • Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as required, and take responsibility for a group where needed
  • Take part in all training provided by the school, both internal and external.
  • Model the attitudes and qualities of the IB learner profile and be an active member of the learning community
