On behalf of our client, a respected and rapidly growing communications agency in
Cyprus
, we are looking for an experienced
Account Director
to lead a diverse portfolio of high-impact clients across corporate communications, public affairs, and media relations.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role for someone with deep expertise in managing client relationships, developing integrated communication strategies, and mentoring high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client strategy & growth
    : Own the end-to-end relationship with key clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and profitability.
  • Deliver strategic counsel
    : Act as a trusted advisor, providing insight-driven recommendations tailored to the client's business and sector.
  • Oversee execution & quality
    : Ensure all projects are delivered on brief, on time, and above expectations.
  • Crisis communication & issues management
    : Take the lead in advising clients during sensitive or high-stakes situations.
  • New business & proposals
    : Contribute to business growth through strategic input in pitches, RFPs, and upselling opportunities.
  • People leadership
    : Manage and inspire a team of account managers and executives, championing development and performance.
  • Financial oversight
    : Monitor budgets, profitability, and account health with full P&L responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Media Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Advertising
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar roles with at least 3 years in PR firms.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating crisis situations and public-facing communication challenges.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving, media, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow accounts and build client relationships.
  • Proven success in managing large accounts, complex clients, and team leadership.
  • Client-centric mindset with a strong commercial focus and busine acumen.
  • Proactivity, high attention to detail and accuracy.
