We are looking for a Senior Accountant with proven experience in the forex industry to

join our client's office in Larnaca. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of financial management, reconciliations, and accounting operations within a brokerage environment. This is a senior-level position that requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial insights to management

The role will start fully remote for the first 3-6 months, after which it will transition to a hybrid model with 1-2 days in the Larnaca office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting operations, including
  • reconciliations, reporting, and audits.
  • Perform daily, monthly, and annual reconciliations across client funds, PSP accounts, liquidity providers, and bank accounts.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports in accordance with IFRS.
  • Monitor cash flows, capital adequacy, P&L, and balance sheets to maintain strong financial controls.
  • Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and insights to senior leadership.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the forex or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of brokerage accounting processes, including client fund segregation and PSP settlements.
  • Solid understanding of MetaTrader 5 (MT5) reporting and data output.
  • Familiarity with international financial regulations is a strong plus.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while leading a team.
  • Experience and understanding of cryptocurrency cashflow, accounting treatment, and settlement processes is essential.
