About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Finance Director
to join our fast-growing development group. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving financial excellence, ensuring compliance, and delivering insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to the Group CFO, working closely with the leadership team to shape the financial direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Closing & Reporting
    : Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting.
  • Management Reporting & Analysis
    : Prepare and deliver insightful management reports and financial analysis to guide strategic and operational decisions.
  • Consolidation
    : Oversee quarterly consolidation of group financial results across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    : Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, ensuring robust financial planning and performance tracking.
  • Tax & Compliance
    : Review VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations across multiple geographies.
  • Cash Flow & Payments
    : Oversee and approve payment runs, safeguarding liquidity and maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Team Leadership
    : Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and growth.
  • Strategic Partnering
    : Act as a key business partner and right hand to the Group CFO, providing both strategic insights and operational financial support.
  • Systems & Processes
    : Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Management
    : Liaise with auditors, banks, legal advisors, and other external partners to ensure effective financial governance.

Requirements

  • Professional Qualification
    : ACCA, ACA, or equivalent recognized accounting qualification.
  • Experience
    : Minimum 3–5 years of managerial experience in finance, ideally within
    hospitality, real estate, or luxury lifestyle industries
    .
  • Technical Skills
    : Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial consolidation; experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Leadership
    : Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and developing finance teams.
  • Analytical Ability
    : Exceptional financial analysis, forecasting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Compliance & Controls
    : Solid understanding of tax regulations, VAT compliance, and internal control frameworks.
  • Business Acumen
    : Commercial mindset with the ability to influence decision-making and add value as a strategic partner.
