On behalf of our client, an FX/CFD broker in Limassol we are looking for an Accounting officer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting activities, including bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CySEC, ESMA).
  • Support audits, tax filings, and coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Assist with payroll processing, vendor payments, and expense tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as Operations and Compliance, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Contribute to budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the forex or financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and regulatory requirements applicable to the forex industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
