The Position

We are looking to recruit a Senior Vetting Superintendent to be based at our Head Office in Limassol. This position will involve worldwide travelling to tankers for pre-assessments and preparations of SIRE inspections as well as attending actual inspections. Where appropriate, visits will be combined with marine visits and internal audit requirements. Additionally, the position will involve day-to-day office responsibilities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: 

  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role or as Marine Superintendent
  • At least 2 years of previous seagoing experience in a senior position on tankers
  • Extensive experience with OCIMF SIRE and Rightship inspections with proven results
  • Auditing qualification will be considered an advantage
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • High sense of professionalism and responsibility
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication/report writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
  • Excellent command of the written and spoken English language
