Key Requirements:

  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching.

  • Familiarity with networking hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills for documenting network configurations, interacting with team members, and providing user support.

  • Capability to create or maintain network documentation, including diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications:

  • A certification or degree in Information Communication Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven one year of experience in ICT or Computer Engineering.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Effectively allocate and prioritize incoming tickets to ensure a systematic problem resolution.

  • Collaborate with team members to distribute workload efficiently and maintain an organized ticketing system.

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues reported through the ticketing system promptly and accurately.

  • Identify and address connectivity issues promptly, employing diagnostic tools and methodologies to ensure seamless network functionality.

  • Collaborate with clients' IT to resolve complex connectivity challenges efficiently.

  • Provide support for CCTV network infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement and troubleshoot network configurations.

  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines and devices to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.

  • Manage and administer engineering databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.

  • Analyze database performance and implement optimizations for efficient data retrieval and storage.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of departmental processes, procedures, and configurations.

  • Generate regular reports summarizing key metrics and performance indicators for management review.

  • Facilitate onboarding for new team members and provide training on departmental basics, processes, and tools.

  • Identify and escalate complex cases or issues to the department's Network Engineer for in-depth analysis and resolution.

  • Maintain clear communication channels to ensure efficient resolution of escalated matters.
