We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payment Specialist t to join our team. This role requires top-level analytical skills combined with deep expertise in payment systems, gateways, and transaction monitoring.

You will be responsible for analysing payment flows, identifying inefficiencies, monitoring transactional data, and supporting risk management processes including fraud detection and error code analysis.

This is a key role that will directly impact our payment performance, customer experience, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deep analysis of payment flows across multiple payment providers, methods, and markets.
  • Close cooperation with acquirers, PSPs (Payment Service Providers), and internal product/payment teams.
  • Monitoring fraud patterns, unusual behaviour and implementing preventive measures.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and payment performance optimisation.
  • Reporting and building fraud trends, and operational KPIs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in payment operations, payment gateway management, or PSP/acquiring side.
  • Strong analytical mindset — ability to see patterns, find hidden causes, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Solid knowledge of online payment flows, transaction lifecycle, and payment infrastructure.
  • Experience working with error codes, fraud triggers, transaction monitoring, and payment reporting.
  • Familiarity with international payment systems (Visa, Mastercard, Alternative Payment Methods).
  • Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with BI tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills — ability to cascade information clearly and work across multiple teams.
  • English & Russian — Upper-Intermediate or higher.

  • Experience in fintech, or e-commerce industries.
  • Knowledge of fraud prevention systems and chargeback management.
  • Technical understanding of API-based payment integrations.
  • SQL skills for data analysis.
