Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional to join our growing Finance Department within a group of companies. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the accounting of two entities but may also be required to support other group companies as needed. The ideal candidate will have a background in business, finance, or a related field, and experience in the online trading industry is highly desirable.

As an
Accountant
, you will manage financial reporting and general accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements while maintaining strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

· Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.

· Manage financial obligations and ensure timely processing and regulatory compliance.

· Monitor and reconcile debtor and creditor accounts.

· Perform regular bank reconciliations.

· Review and verify payroll transactions.

· Oversee and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.

· Prepare and review VAT reports and ensure timely submissions.

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.

· Execute month-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

· Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements and liaise with external auditors.

· Prepare payments for creditors, VAT, and PAYE.

· Ensure compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, and internal policies.

· Act as a point of contact for external auditors during audits.

Requirements

· BSc/MSc in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

· ACA or ACCA qualification (or in progress) is considered an advantage.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

· Experience with SAP accounting software is a plus.

· Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

· Energetic, organized, and team-oriented with a proactive, results-driven mindset.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
