Faculty of Arts and Sciences Tenure-Track Faculty position in Philosophy, Politics and Economics

The Faculty of Arts & Sciences at the American University of Beirut ─ Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) invites applications for a tenure-track Faculty position in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE), preferably at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Politics, International Relations, or other closely related fields such as Gender Studies, Migration Studies or Political Sociology. Candidates with relevant teaching experience in political philosophy and political theory, post-doctoral appointments, and a record of grant funding as well as scholarly publications are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to devote substantial time advancing and expanding the PPE program at AUB Mediterraneo as part of an energetic and growing team of scholars dedicated to developing one of the first Global South oriented PPE programs based in Europe.

Brief Background about AUB ─ Mediterraneo and AUB
The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo, a twin campus of the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, is approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) as a branch campus of the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon. AUB operates under a charter granted by the New York State Education Department (NYSED), which registers the university's degree programs and has approved AUB Mediterraneo as a twin campus of AUB. All departments and programs at AUB Mediterraneo are accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher Education (CYQAA). The university welcomed its first cohort of students in the fall of 2023.
The American University of Beirut was founded in 1866 and bases its educational philosophy, standards, and practices on the American liberal arts model of higher education.
