My client is a leading live-streaming platform with a global user base. The company is committed to creating a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for millions of users worldwide. Their Moderation & Compliance team develops advanced technologies to detect and prevent harmful content, with a strong focus on protecting vulnerable users, including children.

The Role:

My client is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Moderation & Compliance team. This is an on-site position based in Limassol, Cyprus. The engineer will develop, prototype, and productionize ML systems that detect harmful trends, flag abusive content in real-time, and contribute to creating a safer platform experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, develop, and optimize ML models for content moderation across multiple modalities: text, image, audio, and video.
  • Prototype and deploy detection pipelines in collaboration with moderation engineers.
  • Build scalable and reliable systems to identify and filter harmful content in real-time.
  • Detect harmful trends early and help reduce risks to the user community.
  • Stay updated on the latest ML advancements and apply them to practical trust & safety challenges.
  • Enhance existing moderation systems by building models on top of current technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Machine Learning / Deep Learning, with hands-on experience across text, image, audio, and video.
  • Experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  • Hands-on experience with transformers, embeddings, and multimodal models.
  • Solid knowledge of evaluation metrics for classification/detection tasks (precision/recall, F1, ROC-AUC, etc.).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, including ML libraries; experience with cloud platforms and GPU computing is a strong advantage.
  • Practical experience with moderation technologies—developing systems that prevent abuse or harmful content.
  • Experience working with databases supporting AI, livestream, or textual moderation is a plus.
  • Passion for creating safe online environments—a "save the world" mentality.
  • English: B2 or higher.
