Cloud DevOps Solutions Specialist

The Role:

We're looking for a dynamic Cloud DevOps Solutions Specialist to take ownership of designing, testing, and delivering innovative technical solutions that power our platforms and keep us ahead of the curve.

This role bridges technology strategy with hands-on execution—driving proof-of-concepts, leading cross-team initiatives, and ensuring our infrastructure and platforms meet the highest standards of scalability, security, and compliance. You'll collaborate with teams across Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Legal to bring ideas to life, streamline delivery, and ensure every solution we deploy adds measurable value.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Lead Innovation & Proof-of-Concepts – Drive the evaluation, design, and execution of cutting-edge vendor and open-source solutions, from infrastructure and developer tooling to observability and cloud platforms
  • Own End-to-End Program Delivery – Manage technical programs from concept through to production, including platform upgrades, cloud rollouts, and large-scale migrations
  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Alignment – Bring together SRE, DevOps, Information Security, Legal, and Project Management teams to deliver platform improvements on time and with minimal risk
  • Evaluate & Recommend Solutions – Define success criteria, analyse technical performance, document results, and provide clear go/no-go recommendations to stakeholders
  • Ensure Security & Compliance – Partner with Information Security and Risk Management to align all solutions with regulatory and security standards
  • Engage & Influence Stakeholders – Drive adoption and change management through clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and shared goals
  • Track Progress & Report Outcomes – Build and maintain program plans, timelines, and progress reports that keep leadership informed and risks mitigated

Main requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (e.g. Technical Analyst, Solution Architect)
  • Good understanding of DevOps concepts, infrastructure as code, cloud platforms (AWS), containerisation (Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools
  • Proven experience leading technical PoCs and vendor evaluations, with a strong ability to balance innovation and risk in a regulated space
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure challenges including scalability, security, and compliance
  • Hands-on technical background in software or infrastructure engineering, with a solid grasp of scalability, security, and compliance challenges
