Role Description

This is a full-time
ON-SITE

role for an Options Trader located in Limassol, Cyprus during
US trading hours
. Main activity is index future options.
Remote is not possible

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Trading Operations:
    Setup, execute and oversee algorithmic execution of options trades, hedges, portfolio adjustments, and position management to optimize performance, an counter errors during US trading session.
  • Collaborate with Developers:
    Work closely with software engineers to build and refine algorithmic trading tools, APIs, and automated systems.
  • Conduct Quantitative Research:
    Perform in-depth quant analysis, modeling, and strategy development using statistical tools.
  • Risk Management:
    Implement robust risk controls, including VaR assessments, hedging, and exposure mitigation to protect portfolios.
  • Generate New Ideas
    : Develop creative options strategies based on quantitative analysis.
  • Client Communication
    : Maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular updates, performance reports, and tailored advice.
  • Drive Sales to Prospective Clients
    : Identify leads, pitch investment strategies, and close deals with institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals.

Qualifications

  • Education
    : Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. CFA, FRM, or CAIA certifications are a plus.
  • Experience
    : 5-7 years in options trading at an asset management firm, hedge fund, or investment bank, with a proven track record in volatility trading and derivatives
    IS A MUST.
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or MATLAB for quant research, backtesting, and data analysis.
  • Experience with trading platforms (IBKR, CQG, TT) and risk management techniques (VaR, stress testing).
  • Soft Skills
    : Innovative thinker with excellent communication for client interactions and sales. Strong analytical problem-solving, teamwork, and adaptability in a high-stakes environment.
