A fantastic (and rare) opportunity is now available for a Head of Accounting and Compliance. This role is integral to the successful operation of the business. The successful applicant would work closely with both the business owners and executives to ensure that financial responsibilities are met and that accurate and reliable financial information is provided to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, supervise, review and coordinate the financial operations of the office and the general accounting function
  • Verify the accuracy of data and data processing of accounting and bookkeeping related information
  • Close cooperation and coordination with internal and external auditors
  • Preparation and submission of reports to the relevant authorities (Tax, VAT etc.)
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects, reporting and analysis assigned by management
  • Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures are in place
  • Manage the compliance / KYC function
  • Monitor and assess, regularly, the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures, policies, and procedures put in place, and the actions taken to address any deficiencies in the firm's compliance with its obligations
  • Collecting and reviewing Know Your Client (KYC) documentation for the parties involved in the Companies' group structures

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • Previous experience at least 3 years in similar position
  • IT literate (excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools)
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both oral and written
  • Excellent organisational and management skills and ability to lead a team
  • Attention to detail and quality of work
