Accounts Payable Officer

The role is about:
The Accounts Payable is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor records, and supporting the team in managing the company's payables. This role involves working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to facilitate smooth payment operations while maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Location: Limassol, Cyprus Onsite.

Reporting Line: Financial Controller

What You'll Do:

• Manage billing and invoicing processes, ensuring all payments are accurately recorded and shared with the relevant department through the Trello system for approval and payment.
• Oversee the collection and reconciliation of payments, ensuring timely updates to financial records and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor invoices against the approved budgets and ensure they are handled in line with the internal policies and procedures.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure accuracy, proper coding, and timely entry into the accounting system.
• Reconcile vendor statements to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure accounts are up to date.
• Assist in preparing weekly payment runs, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and within the agreed payment terms.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier accounts and ensure proper documentation is in place for all transactions.
• Support month-end close processes by preparing accounts payable-related reconciliations and reports.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices, payment statuses, and account discrepancies.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and tax requirements in all payable operations.
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvement opportunities and enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and provide support to the wider finance team as needed.

What We`re Looking for :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounts payable, billing, or related finance role.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and workflow tools like Trello.
• Industry Knowledge (Nice to Have): Understanding of the payments and banking industry is a great advantage.

Our Hiring Process

First Interview: 30-minute introductory chat led by the Talent Acquisition Partner.
Second Interview: 1-hour deep-dive with the Financial Controller and Chief Accountant to explore your experience and skills.
Final Interview: 30-minute session with the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Talent Acquisition for final alignment.
