ABOUT THE JOB

As a Chief Information Security Officer you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization&ss overall security strategy. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of security protocols, risk management, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and proven leadership abilities to oversee and manage the security of their operations, ensuring that all data, systems, and networks are secure from threats and breaches.

Responsibilities:

• Security Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy that aligns with the company&ss goals and objectives. Ensure that the strategy is robust enough to protect against current and future threats.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the organization's information assets. Implement risk management processes to ensure that the company is prepared for potential security incidents.
• Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, update, and enforce security policies and procedures. Ensure that these policies are communicated effectively across the organization and that employees understand their role in maintaining security.
• Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant security regulations and standards. Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations and adjust the security strategy accordingly.
• Incident Response Management: Lead the organization's response to security incidents, including breaches, attacks, and other security-related events. Develop and maintain an incident response plan to ensure quick and effective action in the event of an incident.
• Security Awareness Training: Design and implement security awareness training programs for employees. Ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about security risks and best practices.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the monitoring of security systems and networks to detect potential threats. Report on security metrics to senior management and provide recommendations for improving security.
• Collaboration with IT and Other Departments: Work closely with the IT department and other stakeholders to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the company's operations. Provide guidance on security matters related to new technologies and initiatives.
• Vendor and Third-Party Management: Assess the security practices of third-party vendors and partners. Ensure that external entities adhere to the company's security standards.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage the security team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of security within the organization.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in a senior information security role, such as CISO or Information Security Manager, preferably within [insert relevant industry, e.g., fintech, iGaming, e-commerce].
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of security systems, including firewalls, encryption, IDS/IPS, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Risk Management Skills: Experience in risk assessment and management, with the ability to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective controls.
• Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with relevant security regulations and standards, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.
• Leadership Ability: Proven ability to lead a team and manage cross-functional collaboration on security initiatives.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH are preferred.
