Application Support Engineer – Financial Systems

On behalf of a client, a small advisory firm specializing in Data Management and Data Engineering projects within the Financial Services sector, we are seeking a Computer Science (or related field) professional to join their technology team.

Objective

The role focuses on supporting critical financial applications, working closely with both business users and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Position's Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues for core financial applications.
  • Coordinate and implement application upgrades and patches provided by vendors.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain high system availability and performance.
  • Perform regular maintenance and optimization of MS SQL databases, IIS web servers, and Windows servers.

Position's Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL, IIS, and Windows Server environments is a plus.
  • Experience in a financial institution or with financial applications is a plus.

Salary Ranges (Gross including 13th):

0-2 years of experience – up to 20k

2-4 years of experience – up to 26
