Full Onsite User Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Onsite User Support Specialist to deliver exceptional technical assistance directly at our customer's location. This role involves providing day-to-day user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring seamless operation of IT systems in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a customer-focused approach while resolving technical challenges. Responsibilities include responding promptly to user requests, coordinating with remote support teams when necessary, and maintaining accurate records of support activities.

IT Support Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Deliver onsite technical support to end users at the customer's location, addressing hardware, software, and network issues as needed.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment to minimize operational downtime.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and application software according to company and customer standards.
  • Respond quickly to user requests to ensure prompt and effective problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with remote IT teams or vendors when escalation or specialized support is required.
  • Document all support activities, incidents, and solutions provided during onsite visits accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide user guidance and training on IT best practices, security protocols, and the correct use of company systems.
  • Monitor for recurring technical issues or potential risks and report them to help improve IT processes at the customer site.

IT Support Engineer Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
  • Experience using remote desktop tools and help desk software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Customer-focused mindset with patience and professionalism when supporting users.
  • Relevant industry certifications (such as CompTIA, Microsoft) are advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and tracking support issues.
