Payroll Expert – external client facing

We currently have a vacancy in our Payroll team, which sits within our Outsourcing service line. Reporting to a Manager in our Cyprus office, the position requires a high level of professionalism, accuracy and collaboration. Although not a prerequisite, the ideal candidates will ideally have at least one year of experience in a client-facing payroll administration or similar role, complemented by the capabilities outlined below.

Overall, Role Purpose
: Our Payroll Experts are responsible for ensuring timely and compliant payroll processing, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, and fostering seamless collaboration both locally and across international borders. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive problem-solving are highly valued.

Main Responsibilities:

• Administer all payroll functions on behalf of clients, ensuring accurate calculations using payroll software.
• Gather and validate detailed employee information to support payroll checks and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Prepare monthly payrolls in line with statutory requirements and company policies.
• Draft and process instructions to the bank for timely payment of salaries.
• Prepare and submit relevant forms, returns, and payments to tax and social security authorities.
• Maintain payroll journals and ensure accurate posting into the accounting system.
• Generate payroll reports and provide any specific analysis requested by the clients.
• Liaise with HR and Finance colleagues to resolve payroll-related queries and ensure smooth communication.
• Uphold professionalism in all interactions, creating a positive impression and maintaining strong working relationships with the client.
• Apply knowledge from previous assignments to identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of internal stakeholders as the "client," delivering consistent, high-quality service.
• Handle sensitive employee and payroll data with strict confidentiality and in compliance with GDPR and other data protection standards.

What we are looking for:

• Ideally, experience, Two levels of candidates, Level 1: Minimum 1 year and Level 2: Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant role
• Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
