Bookkeeper
to join our Finance Team.
The ideal candidate should exhibit a positive "can-do" attitude, be able to work independently whilst collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability and willingness to take on ownership of accounting tasks along with an enthusiasm and initiative to learn and develop under the guidance of the senior members of the department.
Job Location:
Nicosia or Limassol, Cyprus
(*Please note, that our recruitment process (test and interview) and the training period will take place in Limassol office.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting accounting information and documents
- Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile suppliers and customers accounts
- Issue invoices and follow up on payments
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Assist in preparing monthly management reporting
- Assist Finance supervisor with external auditors' requests
- Monitor and report discrepancies or irregularities in financial records
- Support department with ad hoc projects
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Holder of a University Degree in Accounting & Finance or a related field
- 3-5 years of previous relevant experience will be considered as an advantage
- Good knowledge of Excel is preferred
- Holder of the LCCI Accounting Certification – will be considered as a plus
- Excellent use of the English language
- Ability to prioritize and cope in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and motivation to produce excellent results
