Job Description

Position Key Goal

Provide comprehensive legal support to the Group's global fintech operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and effective management of contractual, regulatory, and commercial risks across multiple jurisdictions.

Key business processes

• Contract drafting, negotiation, and execution (commercial and payment-related agreements).

• Legal support for payment services under AIFC, Kazakhstan, and Canadian licenses.

• Legal risk assessment and mitigation in commercial operations.

• Collaboration with compliance, finance, and business development teams.

• Development and implementation of internal legal and compliance frameworks.

• Coordination with the Chief legal Officer.
  
  

Job Functions

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including payment processing services, reseller, referral, SaaS, NDAs, and other related contracts, with both clients and business partners.

• Provide comprehensive legal support for payment services rendered under international licenses (AIFC, Kazakhstan, Canada).

• Draft and negotiate agreements with payment service providers, EMIs, banks, and other financial institutions.

• Advise on risk management issues and propose practical, business-oriented solutions to mitigate contractual and operational risks.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and best practices.

• Ensure ongoing legal compliance across the Group's entities and jurisdictions, maintaining alignment with regulatory frameworks.

• Support internal stakeholders with contract structuring, interpretation, and dispute avoidance.

• Conduct legal research on fintech, payments, and financial regulation developments relevant to the Group's operations.

• Assist in corporate governance matters.

• Support business initiatives, partnerships, and new product launches from a legal perspective.

• Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by the manager
  
  

Required experience and background

• Master's degree (LL.M.) from a reputable university.

• 4–5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial, corporate, or financial law.

• In-house experience within fintech, payment institutions, or technology companies is a strong advantage.

• Strong knowledge of common law jurisdictions and English contract law.

• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, international environment.

• Fluent English (verbal and written); additional languages are an advantage.

• High professional integrity and strong business ethics.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Precision and attention to detail in legal drafting.

• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively.
