The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in, amongst others:

  • Design, implement and maintain the company's fraud policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Act as an active member of the risk monitoring team, contributing to the early detection, investigation and reporting of suspicious transactions.
  • Conduct fraud risk assessments and provide recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations into complex and non-complex fraud cases involving internal and external actors.
  • Monitor fraud alerts and transactional anomalies, using advanced analytics tools.
  • Coordinate real-time response to fraud events, including blocking transactions and mitigating exposure.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, AML and Operations teams to ensure coordinated and effective fraud risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze transactional data and trends to detect irregularities and potential fraud patterns.
  • Support the enhancement of real time fraud monitoring systems and tools.
  • Assist with internal investigations and prepare clear documentation and reports for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Stay updated on emerging fraud threats, technologies and regulatory developments.
  • Undertaking any other tasks assigned by management which are related to his/her work.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate degree(s) in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration or related disciplines. Postgraduate degree or certifications such as CFE, CFCS, or ACAMS will be considered an advantage.
  • Two (2) – four (4) years of relevant experience in Fraud Prevention, Risk Analysis, Financial Crime Compliance or other related fields.
  • In depth knowledge of relevant key regulations and industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong report writing analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek Languages, both verbal and written.
