The Role

We are seeking an experienced full-time Electronics Engineer to join our R&D Department. This is a unique opportunity to play an active role in both EU research projects and commercial innovation initiatives, while working in a dynamic, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment.

The successful candidate's responsibilities include

· Designing, developing, and optimising firmware for microcontrollers, including ESP32, STM32, and various WiFi, LoRa, BLE, Zigbee, and LTE modules.

·   Programming CPLDs and FPGAs to meet advanced system requirements.

· Developing and deploying robust Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) solutions for secure, seamless, and efficient remote updates.

·  Contributing to the architectural design of firmware systems and collaborating closely with the electronics hardware team to ensure optimised performance and reliability.

·    Creating, testing, and validating firmware for prototypes, and integrating firmware with hardware systems.

·    Addressing system simulation and debugging challenges to ensure robust and scalable embedded solutions.

·    Preparing detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and update logs.

·    Actively contributing to innovative research projects within the R&D team.

·    Working under the guidance of the Electronics Team Leader to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Minimum Qualification & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering (Master's or PhD in Electronics Engineering, with a focus on firmware development of microcontrollers, CPLDs, and FPGAs will be considered an advantage).

· Minimum of 1 year industrial experience in firmware development for common microcontrollers, such as ESP32, STM32, and/or LoRa/Bluetooth/Zigbee/LTE modules.

·  Good knowledge of Altium Designer for PCB design and circuit simulation.

·  Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in both Greek and English.

·  Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and multitasking ability.

·  Solid analytical and research abilities, including evaluation and problem-solving skills.

· Attractive annual gross salary: €24,000 – €45,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
