The QRS Department is handling matters pertaining to Compliance; Regulatory; Anti-Money Laundering (AML); Ethics; Anti-Corruption; Independence and Risk Management for the entire Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus region. This is a unique opportunity to engage in cross-border collaboration with Deloitte professionals across the Deloitte network, broadening your knowledge and building your competencies and skills.

The Quality Risk Management Technology and Analytics Support Role

The role requires liaising with practitioners across the business and jurisdictions to assist the Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory (SR&T-A) team with their data management, dashboards, reporting and analytics requirements and support on ad-hoc projects that include automation and streamlining of new and existing processes. The role will require the individual to quickly assimilate the key policies and procedures within the business and be able to visualize key process flows to design and capture Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and value add analytics for leadership to better monitor and manage the business. Occasional travel may also be required for this role.

The successful candidate's key responsibilities include:

Day to Day

Business Needs:

  • Understand business needs across the SR&T-A storefront.
  • Understand business challenges and opportunities.

Analytics:

  • Identify Data Requirements.
  • Data Gathering.
  • Data Reconciliation.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

Dashboard:

  • Define the dashboard's purpose and target users/audience.
  • Identify KPIs.
  • Gather necessary data from appropriate sources.
  • Plan the dashboard layout and choose the suitable visualizations and interactivity.
  • Test and refine the dashboard before deploying it.
  • Deploy and Monitor.
  • Enhance dashboard – when required.

Reporting:

  • Prepare reports for Senior Business Leadership.
  • Enhance the Reporting Framework.
  • Run Reporting Discussions.

QRM Technology, Process, and Innovation:

  • Review and Enhance QRM Tools.
  • Recommend new processes, technologies, systems, or/and workflows to enhance QRM efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with other QRM functions, including technical and non-technical teams, to understand new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of QRM solutions, and tools.

Quality Monitoring:

  • Support second line of defense monitoring of risk control effectiveness across the business, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, and recommend improvements to mitigate risks.
  • Support the 'in-flight' monitoring of ongoing projects, ensuring timely risk identification and escalation, issue tracking, and providing support to project teams.

Coordinate with other Functions:

  • Coordinate with other teams to understand datasets, resolve issues, and enhance reporting.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree; a degree related to Data Analytics will be considered an advantage.
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience in similar roles, preferably within financial services or a professional environment, with a basic understanding of financial, regulatory, compliance, and risk matters.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Bi, Tableau; experience with Power Apps will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written; knowledge of Arabic will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to conduct basic data analysis and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Exercises sound judgement, sets personal goals, and demonstrates strong attention to detail, ownership, and adaptability to deliver quality results with team guidance.
