About the Company

We're looking for a Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team. You'll support the business across a wide range of commercial, regulatory, and operational matters and work closely with various internal stakeholders to enable the group's growth.

About the Role

What you'll be doing:

  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure compliance with legal frameworks in key jurisdictions, and work closely with internal teams to identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks. Assist with license acquisition processes across jurisdictions. Liaise with local agents and regulators to support ongoing compliance and filings.
  • Corporate Governance & Legal Advisory:
    Advise the leadership team on matters relating to corporate governance, finance, digital assets, mergers & acquisitions, and other legal issues affecting the firm.
  • Contract Negotiation & Drafting:
    Lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of complex contracts, including agreements with clients, vendors, and service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Legal Expertise:
    1-3 years of legal experience, ideally in the finance, fintech, or digital asset sectors.
  • Experience in Risk & Compliance:
    Knowledge of managing legal risk, regulatory compliance, and advising on matters involving financial instruments, digital assets, and international law – an advantage.
  • Problem Solver:
    A practical, solutions-oriented mindset, capable of navigating complex legal and regulatory environments. Draft review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including merchant service agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs and service contracts.
  • Communication & Negotiation Skills:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Agile mindset:
    Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-border environment. Collaborative and pragmatic, with a solutions-driven mindset. Able to work independently and manage.
