The Role

We're hiring a 
Junior Legal Counsel
 to join our growing Legal team. You'll support commercial contracting, licensing/compliance workflows, and corporate housekeeping across EU and selected offshore jurisdictions. This is a hands-on role with direct exposure to founders, regulators, and payment partners.

What you'll do

• Contracts:
   Draft/review NDAs, MSAs, SLAs, SOWs, referral/commission, data-processing and subcontractor agreements; maintain playbooks and clause libraries.
• Licensing & compliance support:
   Prepare application packs/checklists; gather exhibits; track regulator queries and deadlines (AML/KYC/RG where relevant).
• Payments/PSP work:
   Assist with onboarding documentation for banks, acquirers, EMIs/PSPs, including KYB, UBO, sanctions and source-of-funds support.
• Corporate housekeeping:
   Maintain statutory registers, board/shareholder resolutions, intercompany agreements, and UBO filings; coordinate apostilles/notaries/translations.
• Research & monitoring:
   Produce short memos on regulatory changes (EU/EEA + selected offshore), marketing/advertising rules, and data protection impacts.
• Dispute & inquiry support:
   Help triage pre-contentious issues, coordinate outside counsel, and keep evidence logs.
• Process & tooling:
   Keep contract and compliance trackers up to date (e-signature, CLM/CRM, shared drives); improve templates and intake forms.
• Stakeholder enablement:
   Provide crisp, business-friendly guidance to Operations, Payments, Sales, and Compliance.

What you'll bring (Must-haves)

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent). 
  0–1 years
   in private practice or in-house (internships count).
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail; ability to summarise issues for non-lawyers.
• Working knowledge of at least one of: commercial contracts, corporate law, AML/KYC basics, or data-protection fundamentals.
• Excellent English (written & spoken). Organized, proactive, comfortable with deadlines.

Nice to have

• Exposure to

  , or financial services.
• Experience with HubSpot/CLM tools, DocuSign/Adobe Sign, and board-pack software.
• Prior work with regulators or licensing bodies.

• Contract turnaround within agreed 
  SLAs
   (e.g., 2–3 business days for standard forms).
• Zero late filings on compliance calendars; clean audit trails.
• Up-to-date, searchable template library and tracker hygiene.
• Positive feedback from internal teams and partners.
