Role Description
This is a full-time
Senior Manager
role within the Advisory Department, based in
Nicosia, Cyprus
, with approximately
20% regional travel
(UAE, Greece, Kazakhstan). The Senior Manager will lead client engagements, manage advisory delivery, and ensure the execution of high-quality regulatory and GRC solutions. Positioned directly
below C-Suite leadership
, this role is central to our growth strategy and offers a clear pathway to
Director and Partner
.
You will lead cross-functional teams, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, and drive strategic outcomes across multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments. This role is suited to a
strategic operator
with strong analytical capability, commercial judgment, and the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
You will operate as a strategic business leader and principal advisor, responsible for:
- Autonomous engagement leadership
– Managing end-to-end complex regulatory advisory projects from inception through successful delivery, including board-level client presentations and regulator engagement. - Team leadership and capability building – Growing, coaching, and directing a team of advisors, analysts, and associates; building a center of excellence within your domain.
- Client relationship stewardship – Developing and maintaining C-level relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and serving as the trusted escalation point for enterprise clients.
- Quality and delivery excellence – Establishing best practices in advisory delivery, methodologies, and intellectual property development.
Strategic Advisory Leadership
- Lead
multi-jurisdictional
regulatory, licensing, and governance engagements across EU, MENA, and AIFC markets, ensuring high-quality delivery and strategic clarity. - Act as
principal advisor
and relationship owner for senior-level clients, shaping regulatory strategy in line with their business and operating models. - Develop
regulatory roadmaps, compliance architectures, and licensing strategies
, informed by regulatory landscape analysis and risk assessment. - Represent Pnyx Hill in
regulator-facing engagements
including pre-application discussions, submissions, and ongoing supervisory dialogue.
Engagement Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery
of advisory engagements, ensuring workplans, timelines, and quality standards are consistently met. - Lead regulatory research, jurisdictional analysis, and stakeholder engagement to inform client-specific strategies.
- Produce and review
high-impact deliverables
including regulatory roadmaps, governance frameworks, briefing papers, and licensing submissions. - Manage
commercial performance
of engagements (resourcing, profitability, delivery metrics) while maintaining Pnyx Hill's standard of excellence.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach, and develop
Advisors and Analysts, setting performance expectations and fostering a high-accountability, high-standards team culture. - Build and refine
advisory methodologies, playbooks, and knowledge assets
, contributing to the firm's internal capability and intellectual capital. - Drive
recruitment, onboarding, and skill development
, ensuring clear growth paths and identifying promotion-ready talent. - Promote a
collaborative, continuous-improvement environment
, leading training and knowledge-sharing on regulatory developments and market trends.
Professional Experience & Core Competencies
- 10–12 years
in advisory or consulting (regulatory compliance, financial services, risk management), with proven leadership of
complex, multi-jurisdictional
client engagements. - Deep expertise in
EU regulatory frameworks
(MiFID II, PSD2, MIFIR) and/or
Digital Asset / MiCA
environments, including
licensing strategies across multiple jurisdictions
. - Strong understanding of
financial services, fintech, and digital asset business models
, and how regulatory requirements shape operating and commercial strategy. - Ability to distill complex regulatory requirements into
clear, actionable strategic direction
with a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach. - 3–5+ years of team leadership
: experience coaching, developing, and managing advisors and analysts; capable of building capability and culture. - Executive presence
with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable influencing
C-suite and Boards
, and managing multiple high-stakes engagements simultaneously. - Operates effectively in
