Software Engineer, Middleware Team

The Technology & Digital Division is actively looking to recruit a Software Engineer to join our Middleware team in Nicosia offices.

Main Responsibilities

• Innovate and Enhance:
   Design, build, and maintain robust APIs using middleware tools such as ACE and APIC. Ensure smooth operation by verifying functionality and resolving any logic or coding issues
• Collaborate and Create:
  Work closely with internal teams and external partners to analyse business requirements, design API solutions, and participate in workshops to define the final architecture
• Support and Empower:
   Investigate and resolve incidents following internal procedures, ensuring timely and effective support for API-related issues
• Optimize and Improve:
  Contribute to the development of standards, automations, and best practices that enhance team efficiency and project delivery
• Teamwork and Growth:
   Collaborate on complex projects under the guidance of an Associate Manager

Candidate Profile

• Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science or another related field will be considered an advantage
• At least two years of work experience in a software engineering position
• Experience with web services, APIs, or a middleware platform

• Experience with the following technologies:

• Java, C# or another object-oriented language

• MS SQL Server or another DBMS

• Git or another version control system

• Eclipse, Visual Studio or another IDE

• RESTful services, XML, YAML, OpenAPI and JSON

• Familiarity with these tools would be considered an advantage:

• IBM AppConnect Enterprise, IBM API-Connect, IBM MQ

• Pipelines on Azure or another platform

• Datadog or other API health monitoring tools

• OpenShift or another containerization platform

• AWS, Azure or another cloud provider

• Highly-motivated with ability to deliver within tight deadlines

• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Attentive to detail, methodical, diligent
• Excellent communication skills, in Greek and English, both written and spoken
