About Fundraise Up
We're Fundraise Up - a global fundraising platform built to make donating to nonprofits fast, seamless, and accessible to all. Every month, our technology powers tens of millions of dollars in donations across the globe. We focus on innovation that directly impacts results: faster load times, higher conversion rates, global payment support, and accessibility-first design.
Our platform is trusted by many of the world's leading nonprofits, including UNICEF, the Alzheimer's Association, and a wide range of global NGOs. With a 4.9/5 rating across top software review platforms, we're recognized not just for our impact - but for the quality of the product we deliver.
A Truly Global Product
We operate in the enterprise segment, serving nonprofit organizations across North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe.
We're building a
large and complex product ecosystem
that serves nonprofits, donors, and partners around the world. The platform includes a modern
checkout experience and customizable widgets

, and several internal apps.
Our backend is powered by

, with nearly all code written in
TypeScript
. For high-throughput messaging and background processing, we use
Kafka

Bull (Redis)
. Analytics data is stored in
ClickHouse
, and we use
Elasticsearch
for search.
The Team
We are a distributed team of 120+ product professionals, including 35+ engineers. Our team members are mainly based across Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Turkey, and Cyprus. Many of our developers bring years of experience, and we foster a culture of deep technical curiosity and knowledge sharing.
Despite our scale, we operate like a focused team - where every task matters and every voice is heard. We value thoughtful collaboration, strong engineering practices, and a product mindset. Biweekly engineering forums give space to share learnings and celebrate technical achievements. You'll be joining a team where quality, mentorship, and mutual respect come first.
About The Role
As a Product Researcher, you'll play a central role in helping product teams make informed decisions. You'll work across discovery and validation, from early strategic research to testing concrete hypotheses. This is a hands-on position with impact: your work will shape product direction, reduce uncertainty, and improve the user experience. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other researchers — and help teams make better decisions through a deep understanding of users and markets.
What You'll Do
- Build and improve research processes across product, design, analytics, and strategy teams.
- Participate in planning, prioritization, and shaping of product backlogs.
- Hire, mentor, and grow researchers to expand the team's capabilities and impact.
- Conduct both exploratory and evaluative research — from quick tactical projects to in-depth strategic investigations.
- Validate backlog items: assess relevance, test ideas, collect feedback, and uncover actionable insights.
- Explore how target users solve problems today: identify pain points, suggest improvements, and surface adoption barriers.
- Conduct interviews with client-side stakeholders to map current workflows, tools, and unmet needs.
- Run usability tests on early-stage designs to identify issues before development.
- Design and analyze quantitative surveys to support and scale research insights.
- Partner with product managers to prioritize features and define requirements based on user needs and research data.
- Synthesize findings into clear, actionable reports, presentations, and briefs for the wider team.
- Continuously monitor competitors and market trends to identify new opportunities and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience conducting product research in in-house teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and embed research into existing workflows.
- Strong understanding of how cross-functional teams operate — you know how to introduce new processes without breaking what works.
- Deep experience with qualitative methods: conducting interviews, usability testing, and insight synthesis.
- Solid foundation in quantitative methods: running surveys, analyzing behavior, and supporting conclusions with data.
- Deep experience with qualitative methods: conducting interviews, usability testing, and insight synthesis.
- Excellent communication skills — you structure findings clearly and share them in formats that drive action.
- Self-driven and proactive: you're comfortable setting your own goals and moving forward without rigid instructions.
- You are fluent in both English (C1) and Russian (Native), both spoken and written.
