We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
AML & Regulatory Compliance Officer
to join our Compliance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's adherence to all Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), Safer Gambling, and Advertising/Marketing compliance requirements. This includes regulatory reporting, internal controls, and contract preparation in line with applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Terrorist Financing

As the main point of contact for AML/CFT matters, you will:

  • Oversee and manage KYC, CDD, EDD, ongoing monitoring and risk categorisation of players.
  • Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the FIU (MOKAS) where necessary.
  • Maintain and update the internal Risk-Based Approach and individual player risk assessments.

Regulatory Compliance

Working closely with Management and the Product Team, you will:

  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records across all compliance functions.
  • Support internal and external audits and act as the liaison with the NBA.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to the Product Team to ensure that the website and platform remain fully compliant.

Safer Gambling

  • Monitor player behaviour and activity to detect Safer Gambling concerns.
  • Implement and manage tools for affordability checks, self-exclusion, deposit/loss limits, and other risk indicators.
  • Escalate and handle cases of potential gambling harm in line with company policies and regulatory guidance.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in Safer Gambling procedures and interventions.

Marketing & Advertising Compliance

  • Review and approve all marketing and promotional material (including emails, social media content, campaigns, and website banners) to ensure full compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and ongoing support to the Marketing Department, ensuring all communications are fair, transparent, and not misleading.

General Compliance Support

  • Provide training and support across departments on AML, Safer Gambling, and regulatory obligations.
  • Keep internal policies, procedures, and manuals up to date.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Law, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a compliance-related role, preferably in the online betting or financial services sector.
  • Holder of a valid AML Certificate issued by CySEC, or other recognised bodies such as ICA, CAMS, or AGRC.
  • attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills in Greek and English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Familiarity with compliance screening tools (e.g., PEP/Sanctions screening, adverse media tools).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
