Position Overview:

We are looking forward to welcoming a highly motivated and diligent individual to join our Security Team as an Information Security Officer. This is a starting position, with potential for further professional development in the industry. This person will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our ISMS via various administrative tasks, working closely with our Security Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Basic information security and privacy knowledge is required - any certification and/or proven experience in the field will be considered an advantage (not required)
  • Basic understanding of information security principles, standards, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, GDPR) is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals on all levels.

Key Responsibilities & Basic work duties:

  • Maintenance of ISO certified ISMS which entails annual reviews, approvals and overall ensure compliance from the organisation of the internal policies and procedures and where deemed necessary collaborate with Security Manager and Top Management for development and implementation of new policies and/or procedures.
  • Ability to assist in organising and overviewing the security and privacy awareness and training internally.
  • Ability to assist in organising and overviewing the internal audits.
  • Maintaining internal registries for incidents, assets and access rights.
  • Ad hoc tasks for ensuring our ISMS is maintained throughout the business operations.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in the field of information security and where needed, being able to recommend appropriate measures to address them.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on the status of information security programs, including key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
