As our Product Owner-Trading, you will play a pivotal role in translating our future product vision and IT strategy into prioritized team roadmaps and backlogs. Your main objective is to ensure the delivery of valuable changes with exceptional quality. You will take charge of the planning process, gathering input from multiple sources to determine the team's priorities.

In this dynamic role, you will drive the team's progress through agile ceremonies and represent the teams at scaled agile events such as scrum of scrums and quarterly planning.

On a daily basis, you will engage with various stakeholders to refine the scope of changes, update the team backlog of Jira stories and tasks, plan and facilitate releases and associated business changes, and follow the IT governance process for transparent and aligned team efforts. Furthermore, you will collaborate with stakeholders and the broader business to share and celebrate successful deliveries.

Your support will bring clarity and focus to the team while also defining effective ways of working. You will prioritize continuous improvement, foster healthy collaboration, and create psychologically safe environments.

As our Product Owner-Trading, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to

Planning

  • Utilizing the values, principles, and practices of Agile methodology to strategize, coordinate, and implement solutions
  • Developing and taking ownership of the delivery roadmap for technical solutions
  • Clearly articulating the value provided by the team in terms of business impact, risk mitigation, and quality
  • Leading the planning of the team's roadmap, prioritizing initiatives and ideas based on business objectives, tech strategy, and team capacity
  • Identifying and managing dependencies, obstacles, and delivery risks
  • Continuously updating the roadmap based on actual delivery progress through sprints, and collaborating with stakeholders to make necessary adjustments

Delivery

  • Defining various types of requirements (functional, non-functional, transition) for technology solutions
  • Managing a backlog of stories and tasks in the order of priority set by the roadmap and defining acceptance criteria
  • Ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements within the team
  • Facilitating key agile ceremonies, such as presenting the expected solution scope, monitoring progress and addressing roadblocks, ensuring the quality of solutions, and continuously improving the ways of working
  • Collaborating with delivery teams to plan sprints and gather their input
  • Performing initial acceptance testing before seeking approval for a piece of work from stakeholders
  • Planning and facilitating the release process, including stakeholder communications and change management
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of work products produced by the team

Governance

  • Driving regular retrospectives and championing a culture of continuous improvement for both our products and the way we work
  • Proactively identifying and effectively managing delivery risks and dependencies in line with our company's established processes
  • Monitoring the team's velocity and engagement metrics to ensure optimal performance
  • Generating comprehensive reports on the delivery status and adhering to our governance structure
  • Leading the planning and organization of captivating demos, facilitating the collection and processing of valuable feedback
  • Contributing to the advancement of our delivery practices through knowledge sharing and actively participating in practice improvement initiatives

Collaboration

  • Collaborating closely with the Engineering Managers and Engineering Leads to shape the technical roadmap and brainstorm innovative solutions
  • Working hand in hand with the Product Manager, who owns the vision and market strategy for our products, as well as collaborating with other stakeholders from various business teams (finance, operations, customer support, etc.) to align on requirements and prioritize them
  • Fostering collaboration with other Product Owners and Business Analysts to manage cross-team dependencies and streamline seamless integrations

About You

  • Proven experience in similar roles such as Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, Delivery Lead
  • Hands-on experience in a software development environment, collaborating closely with engineers, or prior software development background
  • Strong familiarity with working in an agile environment, preferably with scaled agile frameworks like SAFe, Nexus, LeSS, or others
  • Prior involvement in customer experience-driven projects for web and mobile platforms
  • Preferably, exposure to financial services or other regulated industries
  • Prior hands-on experience with Atlassian product suite, including Jira, Confluence, Service Desk, and Advanced Roadmaps

Nice to have

  • Certification in Agile product ownership (CSPO or similar), business analysis (CCBA/CBAP or similar), or project management (PMP or similar)
