  • Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Process requisitions promptly from the Vessel using the onboard Purchasing system.
    • Check requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
    • Obtain quotes based on specified criteria and compare them from at least three suppliers.
    • Review offers for availability, suitability, and pricing.
    • Place purchase orders efficiently and cost-effectively.
    • Coordinate supply deliveries onboard or to warehouses by liaising with suppliers, forwarders, and port agents.
    • Organize service attendance onboard by arranging cabin availability, transportation, accommodation, and ship access.
    • Follow up on orders to ensure timely and complete delivery onboard.
    • Handle the landing of incorrectly delivered spares with the technical storekeeper and local agents.
    • Verify and process invoices, resolve discrepancies, and manage claims with suppliers.
    • Monitor costs during Dry Dock, maintain the cost control system, and prepare budget performance reports.
    • Generate the Expected Cost/Accrual Report monthly and ensure proper communication with the vessel and suppliers regarding deliveries.
  • Candidate Profile:
    • Hold a university degree in Shipping or Purchasing & Logistics Management or a related field.
    • Have 1-3 years of proven work experience in the Shipping or Logistics sector.
    • Possess proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Package.
    • Demonstrate a good command of the English language.
    • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
